BootCamp Followup: Breaking the cycle of Online and Offline fraud
Date: 8th-9th September 2023

The Youth Empowerment Foundation conducted a three-day media training focused on combating both online and offline fraud.
In light of the growing threats posed by misinformation and disinformation, members of refugee communities are increasingly vulnerable to fraud. To address this, the Youth Empowerment Foundation, with support from the r0g_agency and under the #ASKnet program, organized an intensive training session.
A total of 15 youth participated in the program—10 from Pagirinya Refugee Settlement and 5 from Nyumanzi, a neighboring settlement. The training aimed to equip participants with practical skills to identify, prevent, and raise awareness about fraudulent activities both online and offline.
