ABOUT MENTORHER
The MentorHer project, a collaboration between the Youth Empowerment Foundation (YEF) and the Creative Innovation Centre (CIC) under the #ASKnet initiative, is transforming lives in Pagirinya Refugee Settlement, Adjumani District. Targeting 50 young women, the project equips participants with vital media, electronics repair, and communication skills, empowering them to pursue STEAM-related opportunities and improve their livelihoods.
Impacts
Through hands-on training, participants gain practical experience repairing radios, inverters, and other electronic devices, boosting their confidence and employability. For young mothers like Emani Joyce, who joined after completing her Senior Four exams, the project is life-changing. In just one week, Emani successfully fixed a charging port on a radio and worked on complex electronics, demonstrating the transformative impact of the program.
